About Us

In 2009 Craig and Rebecca Jervis bought part of the Kiwi Plants Ltd Company, Including products and services of root trainers, planter bags and hard pots, planting contracts and maintenance services. This is where Kiwi Plants 2009 Ltd was established. With Craig’s years in the industry in landscaping, forestry and arboriculture, and Rebecca’s interest in plants and the outdoors it is a business they are both very passionate about.

Since 2009 Craig and Rebecca have expanded their nursery site to two separate sites in Stokes Valley, with one being on their home property. This is to offer customers more advanced stock and larger variety. These sites have propagation facilities for native plants only and hold glass and plastic structures, shade frame buildings and open ground areas for the growing of plants.

Our customer base includes commercial nurseries throughout New Zealand, the Department Of Conservation, regional and district councils, commercial and conservation organisations, Iwi trust boards, trusts, charities, private companies, community groups and individuals, Commercial and industrial landscaping projects. On average Kiwi Plants 2009 Ltd holds stock of approximately 500,000 seedlings, 50,000 plugs and 150,000 root trainers and planter bags.

We complete rare and endangered species recovery programmes and specialise in supply, planting and maintenance contracts within re-vegetation, specialised habitat and forest restoration contracts. We are recognised as meeting one of the highest standards of biodiversity requirements within the New Zealand nursery industry and by clients who choose to order plants from specific ecological districts and micro climates. All nursery methodologies are of the highest standard and meet the NZHITO’s training requirements.
